On HBO's Real Time With Bill Maher Friday night, MSNBC's Chris Matthews was asked about "scuttlebutt" that brash cable news host would run for office from Pennsylvania in 2010.Before entering journalism, Matthews served as an aide to former House Speaker Tip O'Neill. Matthews also unsuccessfully ran for Congress in 1974.

Alan Caruba thinks that between rising food costs driven by an environmental agenda and real, not imagined climate change, the word famine is going to be heard more often.
